Sentosa buses' new livery!

The old livery of the buses that are operating in Sentosa will soon be updated with a fresh new livery! It now features Sentosa as "Asia's Favourite Playground"

The new livery looks very refreshing and stylish, with its fluid lines flowing about the bus and a darker orange colour paint theme.

And there's a new Sentosa bus model that has the old livery on it. There is a possibility that Sentosa might release it in the new livery. More information of the new Sentosa bus can be found here. Though the old one is phased out.

The new model features a Liannex bodied Volvo B7R. It retails for SG$15 and is available at the following Sentosa outlets - The Merlion Tower, Merlion Plaza, Sentosa Boardwalk, Waterfront Sentosa Express Station, Images of Singapore and Oscar & Co at Beach Station.

RWS88 : The memories

On 30th Jan 2010, SMRT Buses introduced RWS88. It was introduced in support of the Government's effort to make public transport the preferred mode to visit Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

There were two other RWS shuttle services, RWS8 and RWS68 planned. Only RWS8 went into operation.
  • RWS8 which operates between Habourfront and RWS. It is still in operation.

  • RWS68, which was planned to be between Outram Park and RWS. The service never materialised.

It was withdrawn due to low demand on 26th Dec 2010, which seemingly scrapped the plans of introducing RWS68.

Sentosa's B12BLEA beach trams

The B12BLEA is usually bodied into articulated buses, but Liannex and ComfortDelgro Engineering took an unusual step and configured it into beach trams for replacing the older beach trams. There are currently two units in Sentosa, WC2820Z and WC2649C.

They are limited to 35km/h for safety.
